From time to time, since we were born, we have many
experiences about the aspect of mathematics. From the daily life to the
academic life at university, we can identify many aspect of mathematics. Systematically,
we have to know about the difference of the aspect of mathematics. For example,
it is about the application of mathematics and the concept of mathematics. Probably
it’s better for us to understanding the concept, and then to implement that
concept in our daily life.
We are not sure since when we are able to calculate.
Exactly, we do not remember since when we are able to calculate and understand
about mathematics, such as the concept about number one or number two. We are
not sure since when we start understand about the distance, about far and near.
If we now understand, but we did not remember since when we are start to understand,
it called intuition, understanding with intuition.
Since when we know about the definition of love, I
think we did not remember that too. And the other similar thing is uncountable.
There are so many things like that. So, intuition is very important. Do not
ignore intuition. Although now we are at the level of university, but intuition
is not dominated only by children, even we are still did it too. In order to
empower our intuition, we need to have many experiences. That are mathematics, that are personalize, and so on.
When we study mathematics with definition, about
something like limits, it is called studying by formula. But inside the
definition, there are some elements of intuition. It means, most of our life
dominated with intuition. The intuition is emerging from experience. So, life
is about to make a lot of good experience. In order to excel, we should do
better. So, if we are studying mathematics, we should make some experiences,
directly or not directly. Studying English is about reading, listening,
writing, and speaking. We should have some experiences with that.
When we are study, we should build our motivation. It
is an important thing. We have to know the difference between younger, older,
and adult. Older is the person who might forget. Younger is the person who still lack of experiences.
And adult is the person who has understanding with their responsibility.
Because we are an adult, we should have our own responsibility. Supposed
that learning is not as obligation, but as a need. If we are supposed learning as
a need, it will be emerging the following implication, constructive and positive.
We should learn with fun and spirit, a high spirit and good motivation,
whatever we learn. We will be a successful student, if we understand the
psychology of learning. The most important is in the core of the theory. To
learn everything, we need intuition. Beside of that, intuition can make us
healthy.
So, that is why we have a different approach. We are
using different approach to understand axiomatic mathematics. We need to read
the definition and we should understand about that definition. But for
children, it is enough just to experience it because the basic of intuition is experience.
As my lecture said, the basic of intuition is
experiences. Because of that, children should have an experience to learn
mathematics, such as measuring the length, calculate the volume, not only theory. And for us, we have to do some
activities, such as reading a blog. We have to read many postings on our
lecture blog but we need to choose an appropriate post.
The last, my lecture said that readiness contribute ninety
percent of our success. In order to be ready, we should do some exercises. That
is very important. If we have a test, the most important thing is readiness,
whatever the subject it is. Readiness is belongs to us because it is about our
own self. And learning is our life. Beside of readiness, feel confident is also
important. It is contribute fifty percent of our success. So, always be ready
and feel confident to learn something.
